Description

Away shirt worn by Sporting Lisbon during the 2002/03 season.

The 2002/03 season was a transitional campaign for Sporting Lisbon following their league and cup double the previous year, but it remains especially memorable as the season that saw the professional debut of a young Cristiano Ronaldo. Making his first senior appearances at just 17, Ronaldo quickly showed the flair and pace that would soon make him a global star, scoring 5 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions. While Sporting were unable to defend their domestic crown and finished 3rd in the Primeira Liga, they did lift the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira and remained active in both European competitions, exiting the Champions League in the third qualifying round before dropping into the UEFA Cup. More than the silverware, this shirt is closely associated with the beginning of a new era and the first steps of one of football’s greatest players.

Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.
🧴 Detergent
Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.
💨 Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.

We operate a strict no-returns and no-exchanges policy. We do not accept returns for any reason, including change of mind, wrong size, or personal preference. Items with player printing or any customisation cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances (unless they arrive damaged, see question 2). All sales are final.

2. What happens if my shirt arrives damaged?

Please inspect your order immediately and contact us right away at support@soccernova.co.uk with your order number and clear photos of the damage.
If we confirm the issue, we will send you a free replacement shirt (shipping included) at no extra cost, and you can keep the original damaged item.

3. How long will my order take to arrive?

  • Orders are prepared and dispatched within 3–4 business days.
  • UK delivery after dispatch: typically 5–7 business days.
  • International delivery after dispatch: typically 10–14 business days.

You will receive a shipping confirmation with full tracking as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. All shipping is completely free worldwide.
